Our story

Silva is a dynamic rock and blues duo based in the heart of the New Forest, UK, formed by husband-and-wife musicians Poj and Nikki Pusey. Fronted by Nikki’s captivating lead vocals and backed by Poj’s driving electric guitar and backing vocals, the couple brings an effortless, seasoned energy to centre stage—a musical chemistry finely tuned over nearly two decades of performing together in various bands, trios, and duets.

Specializing in the timeless, high-octane sounds of 50s, 60s, and 70s rock, blues, and rock 'n' roll, Silva delivers a repertoire packed with nostalgic covers that instantly connect with crowds. But they aren't just keepers of the classics; Poj and Nikki are also passionate songwriters, seamlessly weaving their own compelling original material into their sets. By blending vintage influences, great guitar work, and a powerful vocal dynamic, Silva offers a live performance that is both wonderfully nostalgic and uniquely their own.

Our history

Originally playing together from 2008 - 2011, they formed acoustic folk duet Krystal. After many venues closed during the financial crash, they took a break from performing, and after a years break they reformed as Music InTranslation with friend and bass player Jake Chambers, and continued performing as a three peice up until 2015. After another hiatus, Music IN Translation joined forces with seasoned drummer Gary Murphy forming Magikat, and were shortly also joined by Keyboardist Stuart Jebbitt. Magikat Performed over a 100 gigs between 2018 and december 2024, when Nikki and POj's journey with Magikat came to an end. They then reformed as new Duet Silva in june 2026.
